D4 Expands With New Facility in Michigan

In 2022 D4 will expand its physical footprint with a new 34,000 square foot facility in the Midwest region of the United States. Located in Michigan, the new space is currently under construction and is set to be fully operational in early 2023.

The new location is a key part of the expansion of D4’s manufacturing and logistics needs, reducing shipping costs and providing the company better access to the advanced manufacturing capabilities of Michigan and the Midwest region. D4’s products are distributed across the U.S. and nearly 75 percent of its customer base is located east of the Mississippi River.

The new facility will serve as a critical hub for D4 products to reach customers even quicker and will add more space for product production.

In collaboration with Sandusky, MI City Manager Dave Faber and local economic development corporations in the region, Founder John Dunlap was able to secure a building that would be suitable for the expansion earlier this year.

Once the new facility is operational, it will not only assist with D4’s subsidiary operations, it will also house the development of new products D4 plans to release in 2023.
